Very slow measurement from Rigol MC3065 DMM
« on: September 12, 2024, 08:10:56 pm »
Taking a voltage reading on this instrument is taking over 3 seconds which is an eternity. Haven't been able to figure out a way to speed it it up from the documentation. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

You can set the integration time of the DMM module. Search the manual for "PLC" (Power Line Cycles) or see page 2-24 for further information on that topic. If this doesn't solve the problem, you may check if the measurement uses a trigger function to take readings at predetermined intervals. Setting up an M300 system can be a real PITA... Confusing to tell the least.  :-//

Thanks. Doesn't that only apply to DC though?

I'm not sure. But since there's the RMS/DC converter contained in the DMM and thus the AC measurement is internally also a DC measurement, the integration time should apply here as well.
