DSLogic U2Basic model logic analyzer now has 64Mbit buffer
« on: January 06, 2020, 12:08:12 am »
I bought from Ali Express this
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000395589944.html

It appears to be a new model that between a Basic and a Pro.   The basic had no sample buffer and the plus had 256 megabits.    The new U2Basic has 64 megabits sample buffer.

It was a good deal I got it in a package for $57 that included (10) 10K pots with knobs and (2) CY7C60013A USB dev boards.   I thought I was ordering just the DSLogic Basic that has no sample buffer; when I got it though it was this.  In the DSLogic analyzer software it shows up as DSLogic U2Basic in the tool too.

On very rare occasions, you might notice an odor or see a puff of smoke or sparks vent from your product.

Except the U2B does not officially supports samplerates above 100MHz (you get 100MHz@16ch, and nothing else). I tried modifying DSView/libsigrok sourcecode (check https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/upgrading-dslogic-basic-to-plus-without-eeprom-modification/msg2859158/#msg2859158) and it seems to be working, but I'm unable to verify it works as intended.
