E-field probe
« on: November 10, 2020, 10:17:16 am »
Hello

I am looking for a way to quantify the E-field value of the output of my pre-compliance radiated immunity home made bench (signal generator 0-3GHz > 20W amplifier -> antennas) an d was interested in quantifying the E-field

So I looked at what kind of gear is usually used and this is the most common one:

HI-6006 from ets-lindgren

Looks great but >$3000

I had a look at some consumer product like the TM-190

but it appears to be more like a toy

any suggestion on a budget up to 1000$

Now that I though about it I think all I need is another calibrated antenna with the antenna factor known -> plug it to my spectrum analyser

eg. https://aaronia-shop.com/products/radial-isotropic-antenna-bicolog-5070

Add the antenna factor to the measured field => get my V/m plot with frequency (which is actually much better)
