Hello everybody, I'm the proud owner of a Rubidium 10MHz reference BALL-EFRATOM FRS   8).

All nice and dandy, except for the ridiculous connector, a unholy  >:D bastard child between a DB15 and a coaxial connector  :scared:, that has the designation:
Cannon DAM11W1S
I found some on the usual suspects sites, but unfortunately got lost into the ordering, it seems that each and every part must be ordered separately (connector, shell, the coax insertion, screws, etc) and there are a lot of options.
I kindly ask the owners of such a device (nobody else will use or deal with such a ridiculous unpractical crap) to help me order it completely from Mouser or other source, or if it has one available in DE, please let me know, I'll buy it from you.
Manual is here, too big to attach it:

 Many thanks,
 DC1MC

The SRS PRS-10 rubidium is a much-upgraded version of the FRS.  I have laid out an interface board that will connect  these devices to my BNC/SMA breakout board that brings out the signals to BNC or SMA connectors.  It also has a buffer for the (PRS10) 1PPS output and a sine wave squarer for producing an ACMOS square wave output.

I hope to be able to offer the pair of boards for around $50, assembled.

Or you could probably use the SRS PRBB PRS-10 breakout board ($150).

If ordering from Mouser, you only really need the connector and coax insert.  You can skip the housing, screws, etc or use any DB-15 ones.

I do have a couple of extra coax cable inserts...  I'm using the PCB mount ones for my board.

Solder cup housing from Newark:
http://www.newark.com/fct-a-molex-company/fm11w1sa-k121/d-sub-comb-connector-receptacle/dp/78X5002

Coax cable insert (oops,  75 ohm?... there's conflicting info about that):
http://www.newark.com/fct-a-molex-company/fms002p102/d-sub-coax-contact-pin-crimp-75ohm/dp/78X4995

Newark is probably closing out this product line.  I bought most of the housing a month or so ago when they were being dumped.  I tweaked my PCB footprint to let me use header pins to mount the solder cup version to a PC board.

Thanks for the info @texaspyro, unfortunately I have a FRS and tha's it, I have to live with it ;).

On the other side, the guys form US really have it good, element14 is indeed dumping the connectors, for 96c a piece (instead of 7USD), switch to the German site, and puff goes the shopping cart and prices comes up considerably, like 10 time more  |O

While your information is pretty useful for someone based in US, I still want some that is applicable in DE/Eu, or just a complete connector, also, if possible, give me the codes for the plastic shell, the biggest for for this connector, I want to integrate a LED and a transistor to drive it, for LOCK state signaling.

 Cheers,
 DC1MC

EDIT: Hey what do you know, the Farnell Germany doesn't consider private persons partners that are worth dealing with and forward me to a "partner" site, so here you have a revealing comparison:

Part number: FM11W1PA-K120

US Site:
31 In stock for same day shipping
$0.957 Price for: Each

German "partner" Site für Untermenschen:
 10,37 €   |O |O |O inkl. 19% USt. , zzgl. Versand (Standard Versand)
ab Stk  1 Stückpreis    10,37 € Fuuuuuuuuuuuu...

Just in case someone in Germany needs the coax insert, I've found them at an acceptable price at Conrad, of all places:

The crimping variant:
Koaxial-Stiftkontakt Vergoldet Conec 131J20029X

The soldering variant:
Koaxial-Stiftkontakt Gold auf Nickel Conec 131J20049X

Got a standard DB15, Conrad only has the 3 coax contraption variant:
D-SUB Buchsenleisten-Set 180 ° Polzahl: 15 Lötkelch encitech DPPK15-BK-DBS-K

And some RG174 coax cable:
Koaxialkabel Außen-Durchmesser: 2.67 mm RG174 A/U 50 ? Schwarz VOKA Kabelwerk 304660-87 Meterware

I've did a test drilling on the socket the vendor provided, it gets nice, but is still a improvisation, if someone can point me to the original shell where can be have to a cost of no more than 4-5EUR, I'll be fully happy.

 Cheers,
 DC1MC

SRS has the "service manual" posted on their site for the PRS10, unfortunately, as usual, they leave out the described schematic listed in the contents...

http://www.thinksrs.com/downloads/PDFs/Manuals/PRS10m.pdf

Anyone know if there is a schematic around???

Can you confirm the part numbers for the PCB pin version of the mating connector? For the D-sub I think it's DAM11W1SN. I couldn't find the part number for the PCB version of the 50ohm coax insert, though.

Lousy photo

Left over from a surplus purchase of 26  rubidium's made 30 years ago

If you can propose a simple means of shipment and a price inclusive of shipping
