Replacement safety banana hooks for Agilent N2772A?
« on: March 01, 2022, 04:51:17 pm »
Hi everyone, could I buy safety banana hooks from the photos somewhere? They're originally for Agilent N2772A differential probe, but they don't sell them anymore (they had order codes 5063-2191 and 5063-2190). They're nicely small and handy, at least compared to other hooks I currently found in various e-shops. Plus, they have quite sturdy gold-plated hook, not the flimsy steel wire grabers that most similar products got.  In reality, they were made by some OEM, so I'm hoping they may be still produced or at least sold in surplus stores and the like. Thanks.

There are/were a couple of sizes of those. They are rather distinctive. I think Pomoma called them minigrabber and minipincers. The bodies were the same size, only the metal "grabber" portions were different size. I've found that both work pretty well.

My Pomona 5677B test lead set came with two of each size. Instead of a female jack on the clip body, they had about a foot long lead with a shrouded bananna jack.

I just re-inspected mine and suspect that Pomona was the OEM. I originally thought that it was probably Electro-PJP over in France, but couldn't find any of their little trademarks on the grabbers, the lead wires, of the bananna jacks.

Your mileage may vary!
