Just picked up a pendulum CNT-85 Frequency counter from a local auction. Has the GPIB, 3GHz input and ovenized oscillator (It is the same as a fluke PM6685). Paid $135 after fees.
I picked it up, got back to the workshop, opened it up and checked for anything nasty. Plugged it in and..... Nothing

Checked the fuse, fuse was OK. No 240VAC coming into the test points, no 240VAC coming onto the board. Schaffner power filter had gone open circuit. Replaced it with a new one and it powered up straight away. Theres a few scratches and marks on the case, but all in all I got a bargain.
