Heh... I was wondering if someone would notice. The outer shell (sleeve) of the housing apparently can be reassembled upside down. Which means the feet are upside down. In order to be able to stack them, I had to put the unit upside down

Well they have a low bar for dumping scopes. One co-worker got a scope with failed 50ohm  input on one channel.

HP 5343A 26.5 GHz Microwave Frequency Counter

Comes with GPIB option and the ovenized time base option 001.  Hopefully this will arrive in good condition, I'm looking forward to using it as my primary RF debug device.  Most seem to sell on ebay for over $500, so I might have even gotten a good deal.

I saw that!  I'm looking for a knob replacement as we speak lol.  I love the 1980's HP gear.  All of my quality test stuff is 80's HP equipment.  I dont see a reason to get anything else, it's all in working order and outperforms much new equipment today.

I have it all in my garage which is subject to wild temperature/humidity fluctuations (classic texas weather).  At this point, I think I'm going to build an environmentally controlled cabinet or server rack for all of these items.  That way I can ensure a stable working environment for my test rigs.

Great deal, I love LED displays, 5343 broke, I nearly went insane until I found a guy (on ebay - also a Ham)  selling the extender cards, the daughter boards are packed in tightly in a cast alloy frame. Was just a broken 7 series logic node.

Yep, local buy from someone I know that gets stuff from closed companies and labs. I also sourced last year  a couple of HP 3245A. I believe he gets most stuff for free so it’s all win for them

Not for your back if you have to lift it, but otherwise, hell yes!  Even more so for free!

It is huge and heavy. I'll get it and see if I can sell it or swap for other more needed gear.
