I have one of these and it works great. It's the most affordable way I can think of to acquire a low phase noise reference not to mention the flexibility it has. The output is CMOS but many times you can find a Standford Research Systems FS30 or FS35 on eBay for a really good price. These units add very little phase noise and give you a sine wave output.

I've had one now for a little over 9 months. It works as well as my HP58503A or my Spectracom Ageless Oscillator. The output is clean, and for the price, you can't go wrong. Yes you can get one of the Chinese GPSDO's from BG7TBL for a little less, but the noise is less out of the Leo Bodnar GPSDO, plus you can program the GPSDO to produce a different reference frequency. I love mine
