DIAL - AN - OHM DA52-3X by General Resistance *Teardown
« on: May 05, 2024, 10:17:38 pm »
The switches depending on mechanically settle/snugged up or down on its selection caused change in resistance. The low ranges were pretty off (non-cal-ed meters, non metrology connections), So i figured taking it apart.
Notes: Copper rivets are 2.38mm with a few ribs (wider). I chose to solder some solid copper wire to hold the pcb's back in place. Do not drill out the rivets like i did on the second board, just snip them(rounded out the pcb). I bought two 1.1111k boxes. Will fully clean the contacts when i have suitable rivets.
Nye lubricants said that there RHEOLUBE 362CP is what there potentiometer customers use. So i use it on all contacts and pots i rebuild.
