Opinione on Gould Advance os3300B oscilloscope?
« on: January 01, 2021, 08:08:53 pm »
Hi i am keeping an eye out for a oscilloscope deal...
Now I found this  "Gould Advance os3300B" but i can't find any information about it so I want to ask for opinions since I am a complete newbie with oscilloscopes and don't know anything about them yet..
Anyway guy wants around 50$ for it and he says that maybe it needs some switch cleaning but it should work...  So I want to know if I should try buying it (i still need to ask for shipping costs)
Thanks in advance.

Old analog scopes are not worth it at any price. There will be a bunch of people that like "warm analog feel" but as far as actually being useful for the purpose, they all suck. Unless you want to look as sine waves and not much else.

LOL. I looked at the specs, it has 1 MHz bandwidth. Really, $20 oscilloscope kit from ebay will have better  performance that this thing. EDIT: It looks like the actual bandwidth is 20 MHz. Still not worth it.

Don't bother. The dud should be paying you to haul his garbage.
