The other poster apparently did own it, had trouble with it and is warning others about his bad experience.  What's wrong with that?  Is that not what forums like this are for .. sharing our experiences?

What's wrong with it?
It's not your experience if you don't own a DSO2000.

Why don't you talk about the devices you have experience with?

I don't go to the Rigol thread and complain about something I "know" by hearsay.
Why do people do something like that?
Dude, you better go give yourself a shake.  I'm not complaining about your silly little scope.  I was just supporting the other guy's right to share his opinion.  He did have the scope so his experience is pertinent.

Yes, this is that "silly little scope's" thread.
Why are you wasting your time here?
This doesn't make any sense to me.

I'll spend my time wherever I like and I honestly don't give a gnat's arse what makes sense to you.  :palm:

Okay angry man, I'll give you the last word.

David. On the 4pda forum https://4pda.to/forum/dl/post/31349425/Hantek2XXX_V17_3209.rar there is a new version of platform-tools Hantek2XXX_V17_3209.rar for the GD5F1GQ5UEYIG memory chip and the second version of the board DSO2D15_V1.7 2021.1.14. After running this platform-tools: SW 20240326, FW 3209. This version can also be used for devices with the W25N01GVZEIG memory chip on the second version of the board. After running this version of platform-tools, regardless of the memory chip, the model number in the information window will be either undefined if the PT24C02 does not have a model number specified, or the model number - the one that is present in the PT24C02. After running this version of platform-tools, the front USB-port will be blocked and the rear USB-port icon will appear. This known problem, which is known to be caused by the presence of an empty /dso/app/Square_cusp.tmp file, is resolved by deleting this file by running dso3kb_usb_fix.upk.

Updated my platform-tools pack adding this version:
David. What about FAQ:
"If DSOFlash identifies the flash as  GD5F1GQ5UEYIG, the current available platform-tools are not compatible"

I tried it few years back, very simple, clumsy/lacking interface and being python-based runs very slow.
Try to make a large capture in 4M or 8M depths, then zooming in for the little details... you'll see.

For what it really does, it's better to simply take a screenshot.
