Hi,
I'm in the market for an affordable yet somehow decent DSO (aren't we all, just our definition of decent and affordable is different) and I stumbled across this Voltcraft 2154-SE (presumably Special Edition for there 40 year's existence??), at a rather low pricepoint for it's (headline) specs.: 4 channels, 150Mhz, 1G sampl/s (shared or not??), 80K record size.

For a seriously reduced price of 269€ at Conrad. Normal price was 415€. Now, I think the 'normal' price is too much for what it offers but at 269€ it seems a decent value. So I'm tempted.

But I don't seem to find any review or real live experience video or comment here and anywhere, which worries me a bit.

Anyone out here who has an idea on quality/usability? Any pro/cons? I know the obvious, low memory depth, unknown quality on low voltage signals (potential problem also with other Voltcrafts), etc but real life experience is often the more valuable feedback.

Thanks.

Could look like a rebranded version of OWON SDS1104.

Thanks for the hint!

Indeed seems to be a 'rebrand', but with a bandwidth of 150 MHz (vs. 100)  and 80 Kpts memory depth (vs. 20K) AND at a significant (in % at least) lower price point.
Specs wise it's not an order of magnitude better but all-in-all should be visibly better.

At least I find review videos on the Owon SDS1104's  usability.

If I would have to compare this Voltcraft 2154 SE to the Hantek DSO5102P, the second one being slightly more expensive, only 2 chan. and lesser overall (visible) specs, what would you think?

You see my temptation... ?
