An issue with Aneng 620A multimeter.
« on: May 21, 2024, 02:58:47 pm »
I've purchased this Aneng 620A smart multimeter (Chinese, of course) from Aliexpress about a year ago. I've used it and had no complaints. yesterday I wanted to measure DC current but there was no reading on the display (as if the probes weren't connected. I've started to check for the reason and opened the back cover to see if there's a fuse in it. there's one indeed and the value on the fuse - it's blown, by the way - is 10A/250V. now, and that's the odd part, on the cover of the battery compartment, it's written that the fuse is 400mA/600V. in the "manual" supplied with the instrument, there's not a word mentioning the existence of a fuse or it's value. I guess the correct value is 10A, because the the meter is supposed to measure currents up to 10A.
