(Rebadged) Promax FAC-364B power supply
« on: June 29, 2024, 10:54:19 am »
This power supply has been given to me. Being a Promax product, for sure it's rebranded. I would like to know what the original product is. Perhaps somebody is able to identify it. Please see picture on attachment.

If you open it up, you may find an OEM name, logo or part number on the PCB.

Thank you very much for the suggestion... unfortunately it could be a true Promax product... the board is marked Promax OCC710 However I'm unable to find anything about it. Will try to contact them but not holding my breath.

Anyway I took some more pictures, sorry for the quality on a couple of them. Perhaps they will be useful for somebody in the future.

Best wishes

you want to calibrate it ??

it is a basic  psu   seems based on op amp, and classic  intersil 3 1/2 digit displays

reverse schematic  is possible to do   but will take time

No, I'm just looking for any available information... easier than reverse engineering. Not that there are any wonders inside, of course

Hello, this source is original from Promax, a brand based in Barcelona, and that still continues to make measuring instruments, I have the same one but with analog indicators and there is abundant information from these sources

Hola supertrabuco, gracias por tu respuesta.

Well, I'm unable to find anything about this device. I just contacted with Promax via web form. We'll see what the answer is. But, if you can give any pointers to any information freely available, I would greatly appreciate it.

Un saludo

Hello, I have the manual for the FAC-304 A, which was very similar to the 364, I suppose that if Promax does not send you anything, I will be able to help you

Hello, thanks for the manual, the regulation circuit is the same as mine, the only difference is what concerns the digital indicators, mine are analogue,
I have had it since 1985 and although I now have others I still use it.
Greetings
