Announcement says shipping in the US....

_if_ they are shipping to US only, and are doing it in order of the "reserve" list, if anyone on the list but not intending to buy is prepared to buy & ship to me , please PM - I will cover all costs.
Let's see what happens...
Be mindful of ITAR...
these products aren't restricted - only issue is you can't ship to some countries
Looks like anyone in the US can order using the link in the email

this is a small issue. just use a VPN to overcome the geo blocking. and use a freight forwarder to ship it to your country. i do this for many products i bought in USA. depending on delivery countries some freight forwarder shipping rate is cheaper than others.
No obvious geoblocking, but I suspect Flir may put a generic export control label on the box (like the E4) which may spook a forwarder. Forwarders probably also insist on pesky things like correct declared customs values...

i copy this directly from the flir one facebook page. perhaps the wait for people outside usa is just a little bit more

"FLIR ONE Hi Wayne. Soon! Be ready to #SeeTheHeat because global sales are set to start in mid-August."

As far as I can tell from info released so far, US units are shipping around Aug 4 and Europe availability "Mid Aug", so  by the time one has arrived in US and been forwarded there will only be a few days' difference.
Obviously it will depend on stock availability.

.and the chancers have started....

Just found one of the first images taken with the final, shipping, FLIR One - a thermal photo of the new MacBook Pro undergoing testing at Macworld labs:

Another shot showing the spot meter:

Looks quite good to me.

Is it just me, or does the image quality appear to be better than that of the FLIR E4?
