Rigol DS1052e weird problem with buttons

I have a Rigol DS1052e with the latest 100MHz firmware mod.

Whenever I press one of the buttons, there's a quick succession of beeps (I have keypress sound enabled) and the corresponding menu comes and goes on the screen really quickly. It is as if I'm pressing the key many times really fast.

This is very annoying because I have to press a key several times until the menu comes and stays on the screen.

Has anybody encountered this problem?

Sounds like a dirty or failed button contact. Take it apart and clean the PCB contacts as well as the ones in the rubber domes, using alcohol.

It does this on pretty much every button, so I suppose it's something software related.
