It makes since that only Fluke equipment branded FC are Fluke Connect compatible but the CNX line is not. However I never paid any attention and just bought a used Fluke CNX3000 thinking I could use the Fluke Connect app. WRONG. They use different protocols to transfer data (CNX ZigBee or FC Bluetooth). I just wanted to point out I made a mistake by not paying attention. And prevent you from doing the same.

Also it looks as though the CNX line is discontinued. However looking at these two meters the specs are the same except the battery life is shorter in the FC.

Would anybody know if its possible to upgrade CNX meters to FC meters as the CNX ones are becoming cheap and easily available...  Thanks!

CNX is going to die. Already on year ago there was an exchange program. I think for the half or a third the price you could get an FC if you gave the CNX back.
