Rigol DG1022 how to update the firmware?

In the end I tried just putting the bootloader AND FW files on the same USB stick then ran the startup procedure again.. This time It worked! And the updated FW had gone in too

i can't see how this is possible? Both the bootloader and the FW file are named DG10x2Update.GEL

Can you exactly and precisely explain what you did? I have a bricked 1022a and need to recover it.

TBH I can't remember now exactly how I did it... Perhaps I removed a letter from one of the file names. Leave the .GEL in place though.

Hello,
I have a problem after to have updated my old DG1022 :

Before I had : 00.03.00.08.00.02.08

I updated it using https://beyondmeasure.rigoltech.com/acton/ct/1579/p-00ac/Bct/-/-/ct36_0/1?sid=TV2%3AQ2jKaGpUj (03.00.00.01).

Firstly I upgraded to bootloader 03 (from folder DG1022X(DSP)Update(Bootloader)_03 )
Then I updated firmware (from folder DG1022X(DSP)Update(Normal)_00.03.00.00.01)

At startup, I see the following version number : 03.03.00.08.00.03.00
So the upgraded seems to have succeed.

The instrument starts well and displays the user interface, but some of the buttons (numeric keypad, last button on top of CH1/CH2...) are not usable anymore.
When I press any, the device shows the following message : "the key has been locked. Use please unlock".

Any suggestion to fix this ? Thanks a lot.

You can ignore my message, I fixed it using SCPI commands :

I just put on a usb stick a file "unlock.scpi" with following content :

SYSTem:KLOCk ALL,0
And all keys seem to work again. Even if the instrument is old, I left the comment in case it could be useful to anybody !

You're welcome. I'm surprised to have not seen this weird issue after a firmware upgrade reported yet .
