Looks like a toy rather than a proper handheld tool. I wonder how much crap it's going to be, just by looking at the design of the layout and the screen type and information displayed on it.

It's surly a joke.  Isn't it?

Let's not kill new design ideas off the bat! The French company Metrix came up with this a long time ago:


The GAOtek 'scope' seems to be more like a DMM with logging capabilities than a real oscilloscope though.

I guess it all depends on price. There's already cheapo handheld stuff out there though, eg. DSO quad.
