HP 8596E spectrum analyzer options
« on: September 16, 2023, 08:35:50 am »
I am following an auction for a 8596E spectrum analyzer. Allthough the "base" device is already an excellent piec of equipment, this one comes with some options.
For two of them I cannot find any documentation: opt012 and opt112. They belong toghetter: Source for DECT receiver test and DECT demodulator. I know what DECT is (was) but that is of no direct use to me. I wonder if opt12 may be used as a Tracking Generator (opt010)? Anyone who could share the user's guide on opt012-112?

Keysight's US website doesn't have much about the 8596E but it appears that the tracking generator is built in and comes as a standard feature.

Based on the catalog description of that series of SAs of Keysight's Canadian website, The Tracking Generator is optional in some models (such as the 8590D and 8591E) but standard in the 8596E.
