I have a 6205C that won't quite reach 0v when wound down (reads about +20mv). The voltage control pot reads 0 ohms. The service manual says to shunt R6 or R8 with an appropriate value resistor to achieve 0V (after experimentation with a decade box) but I thought about replacing them with a series 330K and 470K and two 100K pots so that adjustments could be made in the future. Problems?
BTW, for some reason R6 is a beefy 1/2 watter, not sure why, maybe temp stability?
