Has anyone replaced the indicator lamp within the power-on/off pushbutton on this particular HP Power Supply? (the 6205B)
It appears to me that the entire switch assembly would need to be removed IF the lamp is replaceable. (it's not an easy removal)
If you have attempted this lamp replacement, please let me know.
Thanks
(the picture is not of my unit, but mine is the same model with the same on/off pushbutton. (It was just easier to grab a pic off the internet)

I managed to get the pushbutton out of the faceplate. See pics. Indeed the pushbutton shows a printed schematic of a lamp.
But there are no visible clues that the lamp is replaceable.

Your too impatient, the button pulls out of the switch, no need to remove the entire switch.
See pictures attached, it contains an A1H flanged neon lamp, exactly the same as printed on your switch.

Brilliant! Thanks!
I did try removing the plastic button/cover but was too afraid of breaking it since I did not know if it separated or not.
I will get more aggressive and try again and report back when I have achieved victory.
I appreciate your photos and education on this

It took a strong squeeze and tug to separate the plastic cap.
I have ordered the replacement bulb.
By the way, for anyone interested, Electro Switch still makes this switch. Although by a different part number.
Thanks again to this forum and to factory David for the knowledge sharing and advice.
Cheers!

For the benefit of anyone wanting to replace this illuminated pushbutton switch, I have attached an image of the Electro Switch Corporation product and it's relevant data sheets.
Cheers!

Illumination has been restored.
Yes, it's a small thing,,,,, but I like keeping my tools well maintained.
