DS2072 Extended Menu "Project" Gain1,Gain2
« on: August 17, 2013, 06:31:44 pm »
After enabling "Extended System Info" ([Menu7][Menu6][Menu7][Utility] while inside Trigger menu).  There appears an additional menu on the 2nd page of the "Utility" menu called "Project".

Under "Project" menu are 3 more pages that include the following:

Screen Test  (functional screen test with text explanation)
Key Test    (functional panel key test with text explanation)
Gain1
Gain2
ResumeCal
Probe-Cal
Default

Does anyone know what Gain1/2 controls?  It appears to be adjustable.

Probably manual offset adjustment, but I do not know.
I'm sure, probably there other hidden menu.
My English can be pretty bad, so suggestions are welcome. ;)

Screen Test does some color tests, can look for dead or hot pixels.
Button Test looks nice, does exactly what you think

Gain1 adjusts, but I didn't see what it does.
Gain2 didn't adjust. (maybe I didn't have ch2 on and that matters?)

ResumeCal turned on both channels and a relay clicked
ProbeCal didn't seem to do anything after I did ResumeCal
One of these two options messed up my calibration, a recal should fix it

Nothing else special here, only the first two seem useful

I guess it's safe to do a calibration after it's been keyed and you do not lose the options?
