How to install Linux-GPIB on actual Debain 12
« on: Yesterday at 07:19:32 pm »
Hallo,

I have an new installed computer with actual Debain-12 and a NI GPIB-PCI Card in it.

However, Linux-GPIB 4.3.6 cannot be installed correctly for it to work

Calling gpib_config gives no feedback.
Calling ibtest gives "failed to open board" error when trying to open from interface board

Code: [Select]
lsmod | grep gpib
gpib_common            53248  2 tnt4882,nec7210

Code: [Select]
interface {
    minor = 0
    board_type = "ni_pci"
    name = "gpib0"
    pad = 0
    sad = 0
    master = yes
    eos = 0x0a
    set-reos = no
    set-bin = no
    set-xeos = yes
    set-eot = yes
    default-timeout = T3s
    default-dma = 0
    default-signal = 0
    default-rsv = 0
}

Can someone help me?

Motorcyclist, Nerd, and I work in a Calibration Lab :-)

So everyone is clear, Calibration = Taking Measurement against a known source, Verification = Checking Calibration against Specification, Adjustment = Adjusting the unit to be within specifications.
