Hopefully someone like tautech will jump in here - I haven't seen many reports of this kind of trouble on the SDS1000X-E series...

Remove all probes and any other cables LAN, BNC etc.
Fresh power ON.
Press Default to return Factory settings.

Update firmware from old version installed.
First install the latest OS.
https://int.siglent.com/upload_file/zip/firmware/Oscilloscope/SDS1xx4X-E_EN.zip
It is done at boot when the update files are in the root folder of a USB stick.
Instructions are in the download package.

Then install the latest firmware.
https://int.siglent.com/upload_file/zip/firmware/Oscilloscope/SDS1xx4X-E_V6.1.37R17_EN.zip
This is a different process, unzip the download and move to USB stick.
Fit to scope then navigate to the ADS file from the Update menu in Utility.

After some 20-30mins of operating time, run the Self Cal procedure.

Report here the outcome.

USB stick must be 8 or 32GB, and FAT32 4k cluster formatted.

See PDF.

Are you sure that usb drive is compatible with the scope?  It looks like the scope doesn't see it during boot.  Occasionally it seems like some drives or formatting does not get along with scopes.

Can you access the drive files after boot using utility menu?

OS update files can only be auto loaded at boot.

As the firmware is quite old it is evident member kimera has spent little time in these menus so we need keep it simple and straightforward for kimera.

Okay so it seems there is some bug in the existing firmware.

Change the method and first install the firmware update and later the OS update.

update firmware  V6.1.37R17_EN done.
What is the latest version of os? now "UBOOT - OS = 8.3" After the firmware update I still can't install the new os from the link you provided. Today I will try to buy a new U-disk and try new install again.

I don't think you can update your OS any higher? I'm not sure, but review the revision history in the OS zip file:

The hardware was updated to version of 09(System Stats shows Hardware Version: 09-xx). The OS was also updated to version of 3 to support this new hardware.
If SDS1xx4X-E hardware has version below 09, you don’t need to update SDS1xx4X-E OS.

Your hardware version said 01-05 in your image.

Thanks,
Josh

Quick check to confirm you on the latest OS:
Check Utility menu for the NTP feature.
You should now also have the Logging feature.

If all ^^ are present and the scope is warned up sufficiently (20-30mins), run the Self Cal.
Continue with normal use and report if problems are solved.

Good work.  :-+

Now Self Cal and just use, taking note, documenting any unexpected issues you might find.

Thanks to tautech and all members for helping. After Self Cal. I tried it and hoped it would work normally.
