Chinese clone..

 look like a Tektronix A622 or fluke.

A lot of high end stuff is manufactured in China to keep cost down for the companies making test gear in the West. So why is it not possible to find a clone that works as good as the original?

The Chinese are capable of making decent test equipment right?

This probe is originally made by AEMC and not by Tektronix or Fluke
Who knows, may be it is not a clone but a real one.
I don't think that they are that easy to fake with all the details looking the same.
But then, we thought the same of the Agilent GPIB to USB adapter and found out they were all fake..

May be someone here bought one and can take it apart?
I have a few real, original and different branded  once and could open them for comparison sake.

Sure. But most people knocking on their door don't ask for "as decent as possible". They ask for "as cheap as possible".

Specs aren't that great, though. 3%+50mA accuracy, 50mA lowest current. For comparison, a Wavetek 238 has 1%+2mA and can be had for half the price (used).
