but it's mighty off. It measured a 9v battery as 11.5v
Suggestions.
1. I see the 9V battery is dated Dec 2019. Is that a brand new never used battery? Dead or marginal batteries can give inaccurate readings.
I routinely put old smoke detector 9V batteries in my meters especially the older Flukes since they can wring out every last bit of energy. However, when used 9V battery get below a certain threshold and BEFORE the low battery indicator comes on, sometimes I can inaccurate readings.
2. Before touching any Fluke trimmer pots, do you have another multimeter that you can do comparison voltage measurements? For example, can both meters measure a 9V battery or ATX DC power supply at the same time?
3. Do other functions like ohms work fine? If you short the probes, do you get 0.2 ohms? If you measure a 1k ohm resistor, do you get 1k?
4. When you put the meter in VDC and short the probes, do you get 0.00V?
