Hi,

i have searched through the SCPI command in the file "SIGLENT_Digital_Oscilloscopes_Remote Control Manual.pdf" (https://siglentna.com/USA_website_2014/Documents/Program_Material/SIGLENT_Digital_Oscilloscopes_Remote%20Control%20Manual.pdf) but could not find a command to extract the CAN frame data.

Anyone knows if/how this is possible? That file is from 2014, but i havent found a newer one.

your command is: DECode:BUS<n>:RESult

Forget about "siglentna.com". All new datasheet stored at "int.siglent.com"

Thanks a lot!

Together with sequence and history SCPI command, one can extract many minutes of CAN communication!

I suggest you ask a question in https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/siglent-sds800x-hd-12-bit-dsos-coming/, as this post will be submerged. If others have the same question, they can find it in that post. :)

The SCPI is not working here:

(I can save a waveform with the webinterface, but not the time in the list. What a shame!)

Try configuring time and date, these support NTP time with an interweb connection.
Otherwise you only get Linux default time.

My bad, i meant the time of the frame.

Also i found another dissapoinment:
You can navigate through the history with SCPI, but not with search. I dont get this: If i would program a software that has 2 features, that are this simliar, i would have implemented this.

First i was quite excited about the SCPI interface, but its not what i was expecting. Or are these features only in the more expensive scopes?

Like this (see picture):

This is what SCPI puts me on the table:
can,id,length,data,crc,ack;
1781,8,35 35 35 35 35 35 35 35

You can navigate through the history with SCPI, but not with search.
Not played with Search in HD models yet, only X-E where you use it in conjunction with trigger settings to find events.
Example here:

I played with it.
You cant move it like with history. It also is limited to 1000 events.

It would have almost worked.
