Agilent U1620A battery and power supply

I bought this on Ebay this morning direct from Keysight -  got it for a best offer of $985 + tax.

I'm expecting that this will come without the battery (part # U1572A list price $160) and the power supply (U1574A $90)

Anybody know of aftermarket replacements for less $? I know the power supply is 15VDC 4A and I'm sure I could find that cheap, but I'm not sure of the polarity or whether it's 2.1mm or 2.5mm barrel type.

You bought the unit I had bookmarked! Good to know there's another one still for sale. I'm a bit turned off by the fact that no accessories are included, not even a battery or power adaptor. The shipping details from Keysight are also very vague, which courier? Who does the customs clearance?

I did message Keysight about the battery in the unit you just bought, the reply I got:

"thanks for your message. It should be included but I don't see a comment in the inspection field. So lets assume the battery is not included. If it is it will be a nice surprise for you. Best reg. Oliver"

I just recommend getting a universal charger, that have adjustable voltages in steps (of, usually 12, 15, 17, 19V). They also come with an assortment of DC barrel connectors (meant for most laptops). Be careful of the polarity on these handhelds (my Fluke PM 97 is center-negative). Might have to crack it open to double-check the polarity, or find a high-res picture of the U1574A online so you can see the marking.

The battery replacement might be trickier.. (I'd say, just buy an original one - even at $160)

Thanks a ton for all that. When I get the unit, I'll probably do as you say (crack it open) unless there's a tamper seal on it. I'll report back whether it came with the battery. And yup I know that there's some manufacturers who deviate from the norm with regards to polarity  Probably on purpose

The one you purchased does come with a calibration certificate, but from June 2014! No seals on it that I can see from the pictures.

That's exactly my problem - the eBay listings are clearly wrong - so whatever I get will be a lottery. Could get a full kit like yours or a barebone handheld as I was expecting. Who knows.

That is the strategy of a good company though - undersell and overdeliver.

I can confirm that MY54310054 came with nothing, not even a battery 
It's back to Roseville, so if it reappears on EBay, you'll know what comes with it
