Hello, Peak Electronic has just released the new Atlas ZEN which is great for testing Zeners (up to 50V), VDRs, TVSs, LEDs (and LED strings up to 50V) and more.

Looks like a useful product, and cheaper than most of the other Peak products.

I have the DCA Pro and it can't really identify Zeners beyond 11v. I bet 'mikeselectricstuff' gets one soon for all of his LED setups!

What I find interesting is that it doesn't have a 20mA test current setting.  It maxes out at 15mA.  A lot of the lower voltage Zeners are spec'ed with a 20mA test current.

Here's a circuit that I've been playing around with in the simulator.  A completely discrete Zener tester (for use with two DMMs) that should have a 0 to 75V range and 0 to 30mA test current.
