I think I've improved a lot from what I was originally.
The power supply is disastrous, I want to improve it someday or even feed it with DC directly...

However, for what I use it for, it allows me to work perfectly with this residual noise in the order of microvolts...

They tell me through the earpiece to post a photo of the mains filter...

It is actually a much smaller filter than usual, especially because the connections are on the side, so that the filter fits perfectly inside the original assembly...of course the filter has the IEC connector built in...

It was a coincidence, because I had that filter for years from some instrument that I dismantled, but if I hadn't had this one I would have made some kind of invention to put it in...

hope this help!...

That's without the cables/probes connected, right?
What did it look like before the changes?

I haven't changed anything and I don't see an excessive problem with noise in my scope.
Maybe that's why I don't quite understand the noise “problem” that many are reporting.
It's a $150 scope and we have 2mV/div sensitivity.
I think that is fine.

I do agree that the scope can interfere with other equipment (as well as my PSU does).

I had a noisy CH1, was the nut in the bnc conector, was a bit loose and that was enough.
Be careful, it's jelly alloy, the threads will strip very easily.

Good afternoon! New here and really enjoying using my DSO2D15.

I've managed to sort out most of my initial problems, update, backed up etc. But.....
Despite looking for a few days I cannot find a way of getting it to talk to my WIN11 laptop. It will "chime" in FEL mode and Zadig will install the winusb driver. I'm sure I've followed the FAQs to the letter, used the usb-fix changed the windows security settings but I cannot get it to communicated in normal mode.

Is there a work around or should I just dig out an old Raspberry pi and monitor and give up with Windows!

Kind regards

Phill

Did you try Rohde drivers as stated in the readme?

Thanks for the reply DavidAlfa. Ah, I believe so! Installed RS_VISA_Setup_Win_7_2_3 from the link in the readme. That didn't help. I'm going to strip everything out and start again this afternoon.

Thanks again, Phill

Who needs windows!

Dug out the raspi and plugged in the DSO in FEL mode:

BUS 001 Device 006: ID 1f3a:efeB Allwinner Technologies sunxi SoC OTG connector in FEL/flashing mode.

Plugged in without pressing FEL:

BUS 001 Device 007: ID 049f:505e Compaq Computer Corp. DSO2D15

Kind regards

What an idiot!! Sorry all. Got a torch out and examined my very old Lenovo laptop.

The trackball wireless mouse happily sat in a USB 2.0 socket but the other two USB slots show ssusb....USB 3.0 Mea Culpa. I just assumed it was too old for 3.0 In fairness, it must be an early USB 3.0 as everything is black, even the writing.  |O

And....it works.
