Latest Rigol 1052E firmware ver. ??

Hi all..!

I just recived the 1052E together with their freq.gen 1022.. 

What is the latest firmware for the 1052E scope.. ?? I haven't been able to find the answer on Rigol's webpage...

Yeah, good luck finding the latest firmware on Rigol's site.  Sadly, it was easier for me to upgrade my firmware by just using the hacked upgrade from that thread than trying to get the latest version from Rigol.

Hehe yeah - not the easiest thing to find..!

Mine is 04.01 at the moment... seems to work fine..!

The frequencygen is also really nice.!! looking forward to use both in my small hobby projects

The firmware I used is linked to in this post.  As I understand it, this is version 00.04.00.01 with just a one byte change that enables the 100MHz bandwidth. 

Read the posts from that post forward so that you understand the implications of applying the hack.

Edit: Whoops.  I see that you have already posted in that thread and are using a newer version of firmware than the hacked version.  I don't have a version of the latest firmware (hacked or not.)

If you wan the latest, legit firmware, simply email Rigol in china. They need your instrument part number and serial number, and will send you a .RAR file in a day or two. No dramas.  The latest software for the DS1102E as supplied to me last week by Rigol is 4.01, not 4.10.

If you upgrade a 1052e hacked to 1102e on v2.x to v4, does it retain the hack? Also, is v4 worth it? I've heard that there were problems...

No really XD Anyone know what the differences are between 2.04 and 4.xx? Is 4.xx any better in terms of usability or bugs, or did they spend most of their effort in combating hacking?
