8563E problem

I have problems with my 8563E.
Turning on sometimes takes about one minute or a little more until the CRT lights up.
(seems it takes longer and longer)
the boot process is over until I see the glow of the tube.
(If I turn off the 8563E after the start - and again on - it takes about 20 sec - then i can see the boot process.
Has anyone already observed this, or does anyone have tips to prevent a worst-case
(sorry for my small english)

I don't know about you, but I tend to keep intensity low. I see a similar issue with my 53310A.
If you haven't, try giving the intensity a boost. Probably needs more the older it gets...  like the rest of us

The CRT is sharp and bright. (brightness is 25)
The HP 8563E only has an operating time of 5200 hours.
