Anybody here familiar with this Chinese USB oscilloscope?

One thing that caught my eye about this https://www.ebay.com/itm/125689810910 is that it has a way to directly save to a file up to 4GB in size, and it has a sampling rate up to 25MHz for this signal recording mode. Now what it doesn't say on the eBay page is if this recording mode just records a sequence of blocks (each block having enough data for one screen of a waveform), or if it's a true stream recording mode (acts like a sound card line-in but at a much higher sample rate). The difference is that in block recording mode it would record a sequence of short blocks and miss any signal between blocks (it takes time for an oscilloscope to be re-triggered), while in stream recording mode it would constantly be recording the signal until it was stopped (essentially recording a single block of any arbitrary long size).

Does anybody here know which recording mode is used by this oscilloscope when saving to a file in its "Data Recorder" mode? (Data Recorder is what it's called on the eBay page).

Any USB DAQ will be able to do continuous.

I suspect that device is not a great scope though.

This thing looks like a $129 of disappointment to me… Whatever you’re trying to accomplish, I suspect there’s a much better solution.

Marketing companies should make this a case study to understand what makes this “scope” appealing to anyone - especially at that price.

You'll get better performance if using Hscope Android software with this scope. See the page below for Hscope verified specs when using that software. The experimental mode turns on 10-12bit capability in scopes with this chipset. "Automotive mode" gives you longer recording functions.
Martin Loren, the creator of Hscope, is regularly improving Hscope adding more and more capabilities. He is on Telegram everyday, and interfaces regularly with his ever increasing user base. Hscope covers a variety of USB scopes, from Hantek, Loto, and many others.
If you don't need a whole lot of bandwidth, look at his own scopes, the HS502 and HS512, 12 bits, and very low noise. They are sold on his website.
