Siglent SDS1104X-E Printing Waveforms
« on: June 28, 2024, 04:02:00 pm »
I can capture a waveform from this scope by various methods; EasyScopeX, Save it to USB as PNG, or via the scope's IP address using Browser.
But, all the captures show the display with the Black background. This is crazy when printing and the black ink that's wasted.

Is there a way to get waveforms on a white background suitable for printing?

BTW, I've tried running the SigScopeLab program thinking maybe it has a way, but I can't get it to connect to the scope.

Thanks, -phil

I've never tried this myself, but perhaps invert the image in a photo editor application?

Siglent needs to generally rethink about this black & inverted screen print.

If  inverted the background gets white. But the other graphs and text also inverted mades the WISIWIG to a nightmare and at the end you get lost into the dark guessing what channels & text colors where used.

so the simple as it gets on inverted:

1. Do not change any colors of graphs (sample & FFT & text)

2. simple background as white.

3. the x/y text colors should have its own configurable colors. Or simple, as the related channel colors. (currently dimmed or a bit darker)

IMHO Siglent should rethink on that matter.

my 2 cents

ok, I just figured it out.
You can set up saving images thru the Save/Recall button on the scope's front panel.
  • Select Save/Recall Button
  • Select the Save menu button
  • Select Type and set the file type, like JPG
  • Select the Screen Menu button and choose Invert Grat
  • Press the Save Menu Button
  • Select the Folder location on the USB or create a new Folder
  • Press the Return Menu button

That's it. Now when the Print button is pressed it will save an image to the USB Flash Drive with those settings.
I did all this with a USB flash drive installed. BTW, it has to be in FAT format.
