Another vote for the Datron.  I have both units and I've had nothing but trouble with the Solartron (drifts like crazy).  The Solartron is also very difficult to work on.  For the Datron, keep an eye on the power supply.  It is stuffed in at the back of the unit and in my opinion, is inadequately ventilated.  I've had to replace bridge
rectifiers and pass transistors.  Simple fixes, however.

OK, even if it has more numbers, I'm not too hot on devices with this "piano" switches, call and do a nice German negotiation and post pictures when you'll ge it:

 Thanks for advice,

The displays on the Datron can be a bit of a pain, but I would still go with the 1061 depending on which options it has installed.

I have a couple of them so I am already biased.

Ok, you didn't say 'derelict' 7075. Also, I had it misplaced among the later ones. (VFD-display etc).
So, I can not give a recommendation and I won't grab the schlumberger.

Oh come on, this is the standard issue army device  :-DD, just one button chipped, if it was a 7071, then of course that would have been another situation.
You should look at what TiM did of that actually derelict calibrator, it looks better than new.
And the Datron owner doesn't want to go under 240, so I'm stuck again  :scared:.
Very difficult to find something to play with under 200EUR  :(

What about this derelict Racal-Dana 6000:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/RACAL-DANA-SERIES-6000-MICROPROCESSING-DIGITAL-MULTIMETER-3/223043176173

(Standard issue of the English army ;) )

Any other ideas, or the miserable high temperatures  :phew: dried everything around ?

 Cheers,
 DC1MC

The Dana is interesting, but I have not seen it before.
But what about this one:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Prema-6040-S-7-stelliges-Digital-Multimeter-gebraucht/123275643113?hash=item1cb3cd08e9:g:VksAAOSwT2pbM4FU

This a SCAM, I've reported it already twice, the a-loch is used a cracked account and was having the same offer last week, I was even able to find where it took the picture (the first one, the second is just the first one, zoomed and cropped.
now I usually bid for them, to protect other people, and if I win I say "Abholung", you never hear again from them or you get: "...but I'm now living in Brazil, send me the money and I'll ship it to you at no cost..."  :-DD
But if EBAY doesn't want to disable such account, why should I bother anymore

P.S> The Datron 1061 seller agreed for my price, so it's still hope, have some fun next WE, I finally solved  the autoo-scillation of the AC relay so there will be a nice family reunion.

 Cheers,
 DC1MC

That is an really old one. Similar to the Datron 1061 it's dual slope with DA corrections (with all its limitations) and 6 digit resolution only via averaging many conversions.
