Service menu access BK 4007B Function Generator
« on: October 31, 2024, 05:48:01 am »
I have two of these devices and I was able to get one into what I believe is a service menu, but can't do the same in the other.
The menu available shows details on the model, version,etc the 4 menu options are:
CALIB, show, versio, coffee

The one picture I have shows two lines:
Freq: 600kHz
CALVAL1 = 3762

Checking online I can't locate a service manual nor details on how to enable a service/calibration mode.
Does anyone know how to enable that menu?

I also though I tried "coffee" and it may have shown a picture of a coffee mug and something like a 15 minute timer (warm up?)
TIA

Sorry I can't help, but I do think that more test equipment need a coffee option in the menus.  I might have to add that to a future project.

If I didn't have this picture I may have not remembered it's possible...
now I just need to remember how that was achieved, wondering if the 600kHz was important, I've got no clue.  :-DD
