It's actually pretty rigid.
Touching on the screen works ok, scope doesn't move.
For some buttons you need to grab device from the back simultaniously, but no problem doing one handed.
I like it.

That would be so cool. But no. Nothing that fancy.

Already forwarded your pictures and the first response I got was "Wow, a customer did this by themselves?"  :)

Very impressive.

Call me curious....what's that equipment you're probing? A borehole data logging tool?

Looks like a prop for an escape room.  ::)

Edit: Ooooh, it's been censored! I wonder if it's in my cache...

But seriously if someone is interested, you can Google: Wireline logging electronics

Love it too!

In fact, in the science field of innovation scholars, user innovation and tweaking/customization is a big thing and research topic. If interested, please take a look at this often-cited paper of Eric von Hippel, from MIT (who is also personally a very nice gentleman indeed):

Eric von Hippel (1976). The dominant role of users in the scientific instrument innovation process. Research Policy, 1976, vol. 5, issue 3, 212-239.

Bottom line conclusion for manufacturers: take user innovation seriously and adopt it where appropriate!

We got RTB2004s at work (a vocational training center, so one for each bench) and honestly, given their low weight and slim form factor, one of my first thoughts was “I wish these had a VESA mount!”. Cool to see someone do it!
