i am looking for informations about playtronic.
i am watching an Playtronic XR2206 and an Playtronic WOB2206 on eBay.
these are function generators, that were sold as kits in the past.
they are sold as "as is" and may not work...
no problem, i could learn something while repairing!

But i can't find any schematics, manuals or specs...
The model number suggests its using an xr2206  Monolithic Function Generator IC.

So i am looking for:
a) schematics
b) manuals
c) spec sheets
d) experience with these function generators or this manufacturer

thanks

As a start, do a Google search for Exar TAN-005. This was a document they published which describes how to build a "High Quality Function Generator" using the XR2206. It's likely the kit was designed using this document as a guide.

I would additionally suggest starting with the datasheet of the xr2206. It gives you complete testcircuits for nearly anything these ICs can do and explains which calculations have to be made. It is a very nice datasheet for beginners as it gives much advice in an understandable way.

It was the very first project I did from start to end to build a little xr2206 function generator just from the information in the datasheet and my design goals. Nearly as simple as a LM317/337 Power supply...

have fun!
