Fluke 289 FlukeView Forms Combo Kit
« on: March 01, 2017, 04:11:27 am »
Hi,

Recently I purchased 3 units of Fluke 289 FlukeView Forms Combo Kits, all manufactured in 2016 from different sellers in the US.
Two of them have similar labels on the side of the box indicating that the country of origin is US, while the third doesn't. Also if you view the attached photos, ITEM No. for the first two is 3036206 while the third is 3795230. There are other differences, the first two have a blue dot stickers on the box, above the printed label, but the third has a green dot.  Printed model is Fluke-289/FVF for the two while the third is Fluke-289/FVF/VWVG.

Inside the box all three are identical, I couldn't find any differences except for the smell of the silicone test leads of the third unit, which was different (all Fluke premium silicone leads have a distinct smell).

Could any one please provide some explanation about these differences?

Thanks

Looking at the photos it actually looks like a Fluke-289/FVF/WWG part number on the odd one.   I looked around and see similar SKUs but hard to tell what is different.  I seem to see WWG mostly when the IR3000 is included.  Could also refer to something like the case too.
