Hello all! I would love opinions on these two benchtop multimeters. FLUKE 8845A VS KEYSIGHT 34461A. The meters will be used in metrology - not in a "hobby" type of environment although metrology is my hobby. I will mention that the Fluke is approximately $150 USD less expensive. I have gathered quotes on getting the items calibrated and the cost is approximately the same for both of them. I do like the TEMP feature of the fluke 8845A as the meter will also be used to monitor a PRT. Does the 8845 allow for entry of ITS-90 coefficients or only CVD coefficients? I have a Fluke 5627A probe that I will be using. The meter will also be used to measure current from transducers. This meter will honestly be the workhorse for a lab so stability matters, along with usability.
Thank you and I look forward to your opinions. I especially would love to hear from some of you who have owned both of these units, but if anyone has owned even one of the units please let me know your positives and negatives.
I have searched the forum for direct comparisons and while they may have been indirectly compared I have not seen a recent discussion on these two models.
