Fluke 12 Photo Needed
« on: January 01, 2014, 09:06:36 am »
Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anybody could please take a nice close up shot of the contact pads on a Fluke 12 multimeter, this one was my dads and he gave it to me to play with years ago after he blew the tracks off it.  I was thinking of making some sort of template and using some conductive paste/glue to re create the blown tracks (circled red).

Cheers

Thanks for looking that up for me but the photos don't show the solder pads unfortunately.

Cheers

I got a few pictures of the Fluke 10 - they might have similar pads.

Well the results are in.

Pic one: I printed a picture of what Mike S sent me to scale approx 13.8mm wide and used the needle of the syringe to make the holes where the solder pads are (that took ages i made many holes like a tattoo gun then gently scraped the paper away)

Pic two: After making the template and squeezing some solder paste/glue

Pic three: Cleaned up some of the mess, not the best looking

Pic four: It works yay!! all buttons and modes function correctly
