Elektor '82 PCB check
« on: February 27, 2015, 09:53:07 pm »
Hi I'm looking for some feedback on my pcb design. My design has been in the drawer for a while. If anyone thinks my pcb layout is complete crap, I'll start over.

I have made a pcb for the Elektor December 1982 bench psu. I don't have the english article (anyone?), but I have included the schematic. I have left out the sense lines.

  • PCB size: 100x50mm
  • A few components such as the main filter capacitors and the regulating transistors are not mounted on the pcb, this should make it easy to modify the circuit and it also keeps the pcb compact

Nah.. I would recommend a switching power supply for this purpose :P
I accidentally hit the post button before I finished writing, it's now fixed :P

//edit
I was really sleeping... I posted it in the wrong section too, it should be in projects.

Thank you very much, Wilfred! You have my PM

Different editions of the Elektor magazine aren't always the same and sometimes articles are published in different months.

I would also check in the first 3 issues of 1983 to see if there were any corrections/modifications to the design.
The day Al Gore was born there were 7,000 polar bears on Earth.
Today, only 26,000 remain.

Anyone an opinion about my layout?

@JoeO
Thank you, I'll try to find the 1983 articles.

@Neganur
I used Multisim and Ultiboard from National Instruments.
