Fixed placement of a handheld multimeter
« on: April 07, 2023, 02:06:27 am »
The metal strips anchored into the wall for the adjustable shelving over my bench turned out to be a great spot for the magnet on the back of my current multimeter. I like how it sticks up there, out of the way and always accessible. It looks like I'll again be getting a handheld multimeter to upgrade the main meter spot, probably a Brymen. It too has an optional magnetic holder, but it made me wonder...

For those of you who have a handheld meter in a 'permanent' spot on your bench, how do you have it propped up? Just leaning back on the stand or something akin to the fantastic mounting system GigaJoe uses? I found something clever on Thingiverse I thought looked alright.

Shared mine below. Would love to see some photos or suggestions if you have a handheld meter in a semi-permanent spot!

I don't know as I don't even have permanent space for my bench meters.
