Hi,
does somebody know if someone already tried a "voice control" for test gear with a normal PC / Webcam?
I know the "olli" project
https://github.com/jmwilson/ollie but snips is closed now and you need a "faster" raspberry (3 and higher, not available nowadays, extra stuff on your bench etc..) for this..
So my thinking was now many people have already connected their testgear over LXI ,GPIB, USB (serial) to their PC/Notebook.
And many people are using nowadys (thx covid..
) webcams / headphones / microphones connected to their PCs.
And today it looks like there is an alternative way for local speech control with the SEPIA framework?
Did somebody already tried to control his connected testgear with his PC with SEPIA framework (or other free, local alternatives)?
Unfortunally i don't have much software expierience beside small uc and some lowlevel embedded linux stuff...
Maybe a community work?
The idea is to run the sepia framework on your local pc (win/linux) with a webcam / headphone / microphone connected and the needed than the correct LXI / GBIP / USB serial comport ist opened and the scpi commands are send there..? Any hints?
Maybe we can reuse the "olli" work for the already made testgear there?
Found something which was called "bitvoicer" looks like this was the thing i'm looking for. Unfortunally it looks like its already closed...
My intention is primary to tell my rigol scope to retrigger / restart "single" mode...
Currently i have to hold the probes with my hands (if i'm using gnd springs to prevent gnd ringing.. and i wouldn't solder wires to 0402 or 0,5mm RM parts for testing..) the probes and shout out for my wife to get her fingers additionally to press the "single knob"...
EDIT: Found something interesting:
https://github.com/patricksebastien/speech2scpi https://www.workinprogress.ca/software/speech2scpi/ unfortunally only linux...
