Extend your HAMEG warranty to 3 years for free

Hameg just announced an extended warranty scheme so if you just purchased something from them go and visit http://warranty.hameg.com/ to get an extra warranty year.

"If your instrument was purchased between the 1st of May 2013 and the 30th of April 2014 then you can also register your device until the 31st of July 2014 for the free 3 years of Value Service."

Hmm. Not to take the shine off, but I notice Agilent scopes say 5 year warranty, and 3 year on their other devices (dmm,psu).

I mistakenly said European law was 3 years recently, but is only 2 years according to this page.

EU law gives you 2 year protection but if something happens in the second year you have to prove that the defect existed at the moment of buying. Manufacturer warranty (however long) is a voluntary thing.
