ATTEN ADS 1102CA partially bricked

I have an old ATTEN ADS 1102CA+, never had much luck with the triggers, so shelved it, then read on this forum how to update.  I did the update, however, now I've lost the menus (see pictures).  I downloaded the files from Siglent site.  However, the actual ADS in the CNL Zip was a CML...ADS (not sure if that matters, the FW may detect the memory size),  The scope seems to work fine, just the menus are blind.  Also, the zip files on the siglent site do not include the .CFG files - so I was not able to update that.  any help appreciated.

Oh dear.
You've put C*L FW that's meant for a scope with 7" display into a 5" display model. 
So the Menu will be off the display to the right.
That could be problematic as you need access to the menu to select the FW update mode.

So forget about wanting CAL FW, you need CA FW for 5" models.
No sorry I haven't got the FW you need and Siglent websites don't have it either for 5" models.

BTW, Config files are within the .rar FW packages.............sometimes, but they'll be only applicable to the correct model. They're only added into the FW update package when required.

thank you, and that makes so much sense.  the RAR for the CNL now includes only the CML file

SDS1000CNL_SSP_V100R005B01D02P32,
contained only: SDS1000CML_SSP_V100R005B01D02P32.ADS

and this is from the SDS 1102CNL FW page

anyway, hoping someone has a 5" FW update I can use - thanks for the pointer!

for the CA (not CAL) does anyone know if the RIGOL files will work on the ATTEN? looks like they use a .RGL extension, vs. .ADS

No that would be a bad idea. 

Another look in my archives finds a CM version of firmware but it's too big to attach here so you need to PM me with your email.
CM (2 Mpts) and CN (40 Kpts) share the same FW so we might have what you need after all.
Let's hope you can access the menu in some way.
