Welcome to the forum, James. Nope, not single-use. Valid for as long as Saelig says so.

Aging equipment can be good too. Some things just aren't made like that anymore.

Yes, that's true of the top tier brands... My 16 year old Fluke 189 still works like new, as does my Tektronix TDS3032 DPO.
However, with its limited 10K of sample memory and 3.5" floppy drive, the TDS3032 just doesn't cut the mustard anymore.
