Temp probe for Fluke 87-v question?
« on: February 20, 2014, 12:33:02 am »
I just got this meter a few day ago, and don't understand what components etc. it is suppose to be able to measure. Could someone please fill me in? The manual doesn't tell unless, I overlooked that part. Thanks!   :)

Place it on a hot IC?  See how hot a regulator is getting?

...anything?

It's a thermocouple. It will measure the temperature of whatever you touch with it. Your hand. A hot IC. The room. Your bathwater.

Thanks very much folks, I was hoping I could use it for testing the temp of ICs etc. that way.   :)
