eevblog meters, comparison chart?
« on: August 17, 2023, 06:28:02 pm »
is there somewhere that has the full list of everything they have and the differences between them? i need a couple new field meters and i dont want to spend fluke money at the moment, these might get lost or who knows what so id like to keep cost down to 300 max ish or less which would be even better, looking for at least 2-3 of them. i have not been able to find a complete list to compare the three models. or is there one which is just recc over the other two.

i have a few of the redfish meters which i got for SUPER cheap still sealed and they work okay but they lack a lot and eat batteries lol. unless they are better then i give them credit for.

Many of the stores that sell the EEVblog and Brymen DMMs like Welectron have the datasheets and manuals on each product page for easy access.

I don't think any such detailed comparison exists.
For field use I wouldn't get the 121GW, it's more of a lab meter.
The BM235 is the best if you want a small size, big display or a LowZ function.
BM786 is better if you want higher accuracy and count.

CAT rating wise the BM786 is technically better, but I don't think I'd ever make a buying decision over that unless you are on the extreme edge of that sort of industry.
